Day #4942 (Tue., July 18, 2023) – Monthly “Chats”

My wife took Maple to the vet this morning for a checkup.  Bobby tagged along to keep Maple company.  It’s funny how dogs hate to go to the vet.  The vet said that Maple is a thin dog but you would never know it under all that fur.  Since she basically just “grazes” all day and eats food when she wants she doesn’t gobble down anything in sight like Ginger.

I thought I would institute monthly “chats” with Katie and Bobby.  The idea is that I take them out for a donut or coffee in addition to my monthly Daddy/Daughter and Daddy/Son Days for a chat.  It gives me a great opportunity to have “eye to eye” contact with them on a topic that is timely and engaging.  I think I will talk to Bobby about bullies and to Katie about stress on our first outing in a few days.

The kids were very fussy at their viola/violin lesson this afternoon.  Katie had a headache and Bobby was complaining of a stomach ache before they even got into the car.  Once at Miss Patricia’s house they rolled around on the floor doing a bit of yoga to stretch up (see photo to the left), but a lot of fussing about as well.
