Day #4961 (Sun., Aug. 6, 2023) – Chicken Bob
A Twilight movie was playing at Silver Spot Theater this afternoon, but Katie was not interested in going to see it as she streamed it recently. We thought of going to Panera Bread to work on her book, but concluded that it would be busy today, so we decided to have a Daddy/Daughter day during the week. Katie spent most of the day in her bedroom with Batman. Take a look at her latest drawing (see photo to the left).
My wife took Bobby to Clark Pool this afternoon. Ethan was there. Bobby enjoys jumping off the edge of the pool at the deep end and going and touching the bottom. Ethan, who doesn’t weigh as much as Bobby, is not able to do this.
Later today Guenther and Russell came over to play with Bobby. They played outside with Nerf guns mostly, but they did visit the chickens. Bobby brought home a few eggs for us to enjoy. Guenther and Russell’s parents asked Bobby if he would mind taking care of the chickens while they are away on vacation. I asked Bobby if we should call him “Chicken Bob” now, and he said “I guess”… 🙂
This evening we were trying to figure out the house show that we used to watch on cable tv in Cary back around 2009… After some research we discovered that it was “Sell This House” with Tanya Memme. It basically teaches you how to clean up and stage a house for the least amount of money so that you can sell it.
