I had to wait till my wife got back from Bobby’s swimming lesson this morning before I could go get groceries. Why? The Camry is in the shop. They plan to take a look at it today at 4 pm.
I took the van to Harris Teeter rather than Aldi for groceries as Katie has taken to mascarpone cheese, and it is one of the most reliable supplies. Aldi is often out of it for some reason. While there I picked up two gallons of milk (surprise surprise) and three pizzas. They had a sale on “Red Vine” licorice (see photo to the left) so I picked up two containers of those as well. Quite the discount! Only $4 per container, with a $11.99 savings per container! Unfortunately Katie is not able to eat these right now because of her braces, but school is starting up next week so perhaps we can put a few in each of his school lunches? I also got a couple of strawberry parfait’s, but since Katie can’t have granola, both of those will go to Katie as well.
My wife took Bobby to Clark Pool this evening. Ethan didn’t want to go so he stayed at home. Apparently he got an extra hour of computer time today as he did his laundry. For some reason he doesn’t have any interests other than playing on the computer and his Rubik’s cube. He’s quite talented musically and can play a number of instruments, but apparently he doesn’t practice much any more.
Lloyd’s Tire called this evening. They fixed the broken lights on the rear of the car. In regards to the noises in the undercarriage, the rattling cannot be fixed, but the car is safe and can be driven. I guess I will get used to the noises. I paid the $25 or so over the phone and we picked up the car after hours.
This evening I showed Katie the song “Georgie Girl” on YouTube and told her that it was a song that brought back a lot of pleasant memories for me from my childhood.
All eyes are on NVDA stock as it reports on earnings after the close tomorrow.
