Day #4984 (Tue., Aug. 29, 2023) – Spence’s Farm After School
I dropped off Bobby at Glenwood this morning. On the way we talked about his new class and his classmates. He said that he thinks Anan, the girl who used to sit at his table last year, has gone back to India and will not be at Glenwood this year.
I went to Aldi for groceries this afternoon. I picked up some blueberries, Hershey’s chocolate bars, and Reese’s peanut butter cups at Katie’s request. They don’t sell Mascarpone cheese at Aldi anymore for some reason, so I picked up some “Happy Farms” little cream cheese wedges that I think she will like.
I picked up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this evening. This is the first “after school” session for him in the 3rd grade. When I arrived he was throwing a plastic bottle of water up into the air. He told me that all of his friends had arrived by the time I got there.
Katie got an artist easel for her painting activities in the mail today and my wife assembled it for her. You can see it along with her desk for paints in the photo to the left.
At school today Bobby said that he had some beef tacos for lunch. I asked him if he was still a vegetarian. He said yes, except for school lunch time… 🙂
His mother packed some pizza slices and milk for him on the ride home, so he was ready to play online with Ethan pretty well soon after he hit the front door.
