Day #4995 (Sat., Sept. 9, 2023) – Chicken Sign

Bobby got up early this morning, around 3 am, and decided to take the dogs out.  Go Figure!  At any rate, it’s a good thing that my wife put the sign shown in the photo to the right on the front door.  The neighbors don’t want the chickens out as they have just painted their house and don’t want it messed up.

It rained like mad all morning, and even into the early afternoon.

Katie talked to Cecily on the phone today.  Cecily is a good influence on Katie as she seems to be more outgoing and doesn’t let the “norms” of today get in her way.  For example, Katie has been saying that kids her age don’t call up other kids after school hours, but Cecily did today.  Cecily did ask Katie if she was comfortable talking about personal things, as this shows another level of maturity to get feedback from others.  Apparently some of Cecily’s other friends were not comfortable with having anything other than a superficial relationship.

Bobby is feeling better today, but still not 100%.  He had a nap this afternoon as well.

I drove to Trader Joe’s this evening to pick up some more drinkable yogurts for Bobby as he loves them so much.  Still no 6-pack tubs of yogurt, but that is to be expected as the guy did say they arrive at 8 am.
