Day #4996 (Sun., Sept. 10, 2023) – Bobby Sews

Bobby had a 101 degree temperature today and is still not feeling 100%.  Looks like no school for him tomorrow.  Katie also mentioned that she is not feeling well.

The photo to the right shows the three paintings that my wife, Katie, and Bobby did a couple of days ago.  Can you figure out who did which one?  10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…  My wife did the top one, Katie did the middle one, and Bobby did the one on the bottom.  My wife said that her hands were stronger so she had better control over the knife, which was needed for the bark texture on the tree.  Katie’s painting, which is the one in the middle, showcases her “Monet Style” which she has exhibited in previous paintings.  The bottom painting by Bobby is a pretty good effort and the bark on the tree makes me feel that this tree is more of a birch…

Cecily called Katie up this afternoon and they talked quite a bit during the day.  Cecily is very outgoing and this is good for Katie.

My wife got the sewing kit out today and Bobby wanted to learn.  He mended one of his plush toys with his newfound skills.  I used to do sewing and knitting at his age as well.  Great skill to have.

The neighbors had a baptism ceremony for their daughter this afternoon.  There were quite a few cars on the road in front of our house as friends and family came to witness and participate in it.  Since the neighbors are back Ginger is back home.
