Day #5001 (Fri., Sept. 15, 2023) – Katie Learns French

I put up the video that I took at yesterday’s martial arts class. We can now go through it with Bobby to help him perfect Form 1, which he will be tested for this Saturday. In the photo to the left you can see Bobby break a board that is being held by Mr. Choi, who runs the Chapel Hill Studio. Carmen, the 11 year old instructor who is almost a black belt can be seen sitting nearby. A bit earlier in the day Bobby hit the boards that Carmen was holding so hard that he knocked them out of her hands.

Katie is really eager to learn French and has been practicing daily.

My wife picked up Bobby at the bus stop this afternoon and then took the kids to viola/violin lessons. They have missed some lessons as of late, so there is a plan for the foreseeable future to have 45 minute instead of 30 minute lessons so that they can catch up. They went to Yopop for a treat afterwards.

This evening Bobby went through our stash of costumes to come up with one to wear at Ensar’s Birthday Party tomorrow. His Spiderman costume no longer fits him. He settled upon the “Grim Reaper”.
