Day #5008 (Fri., Sept. 22, 2023) – Doctor’s Excuse
The photo to the left shows Bobby going through the motions of “Self Defence” at martial arts class yesterday. They taught the kids how to protect against bullies, various arm strikes, and even an attack by a knife. I talked to the instructor shown in the photo about how happy we are with the class and instruction and she said that “Bobby is good”.
Both kids are home today! Bobby was sniffling and coughing a bit last night, and it has blown into a cold or “whatever” today. My wife took both kids to the doctor and at least they don’t have COVID.
Despite being sick all day, Bobby did muster up a bit of strength to take his scooter out for a spin this evening. I asked him if we should return it as it was not being used today, and his reply was a resounding NO!
We are in the process of crafting an email to Katie’s school as they have stated that they need a doctor’s excuse for any future absences. We inquired about whether this was policy and they responded that it was not required but recommended…
