Day #5012 (Tue., Sept. 26, 2023) – Power Goes Out!
Both kids are back at school today!
After I picked up Katie at Phillips my wife called to say that the power went out. Apparently there was an accident near Piney Mountain Road & MLK that caused it. She suggested we go to the library, but Katie wanted to go home. She had some boiled potatoes ready for her. Katie told me that they are having a school dance soon and she is debating whether she will be going or not.
I picked up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this afternoon. He was playing “Hide & Seek” when I arrived. He found a great place behind the little shed (see photo to the left). My wife told me that they still didn’t have any power, so I picked up Chick-Fil-A for everyone. Both kids got the regular meal of grilled chicken & fries rather than the kids meal. My wife and I each had a Cobb Salad.
The power was scheduled to come on at 7:15 pm, but the powers that be sent out a message saying it would be at midnight. Five minutes later the power came on. Go figure!!!
