Day #5015 (Fri., Sept. 29, 2023) – Bobby’s Tongue
Bobby is home sick today, but Katie went to school.
My wife took Bobby to the doctor this morning and he has strep throat. You can see his tongue in the photo to the left. My wife says that when he has this tongue, she knows that he is sick!
My wife picked up Katie at school this afternoon, then took her to the orthodontist, then to her viola lesson, so I went to Walgreens on Franklin Street to pick up the prescription for Bobby that the doctor sent. It’s a liquid, which is not Bobby’s favorite, so I made sure to get plenty of syringes. Last time they gave us plastic spoons! I gave Bobby a pill 20 minutes before I gave him this medicine so that he would not throw it up! Bobby got tired soon after I gave him the medicine and went for a nap.
At the orthodontist this afternoon he ended up replacing a whole wire when we thought he would only need to repair it.
This evening I came across a video of a 13-year old Taylor Swift performing her first song. I showed it to Katie.
