Day #5028 (Thu., Oct. 12, 2023) – Cream of Buckles
Both kids are home sick today. So, rather than drop Bobby off and go to get my allergy shot, I just went to get my allergy shot. This was the second shot in a series that will last about four months. By the time all this is over I will be ready for the “Spring Pollen Season”.
After getting my allergy shot I stopped by Panera Bread for a coffee via the “Sip Club”, and then home where I had a big breakfast. Breakfasts are not typical for me these days as I usually only have coffee and soft drinks and liquids up till about 5pm.
This afternoon I went to Whole Foods to picks up groceries. We usually don’t go to Whole Foods as it’s rather expensive, but I’m on the hunt for “Cream of Buckwheat” cereal. Alexa’s shopping list transcribed this wrong as “Cream of Buckles”, but I know what was wanted. Whole Foods didn’t have the little yellow boxes of Cream of Buckwheat cereal that we used to get years ago. I even looked in the baby food section where we usually get it. The Pocono “Cream of Buckwheat” (see photo to the right) that I did pick up was in the oatmeal section.
While at Whole Foods I picked up a couple of Whole Foods pizzas, both a thin crust and a rising crust, so the kids could compare. Note: The kids preferred the thin crust!
My wife will be leaving early tomorrow for Toronto. The Uber is supposed to be here at 3:30 am, but if it doesn’t arrive, I will drive her to the airport.
