Day #5038 (Sun., Oct. 22, 2023) – Bard “Story” At McDonalds

Katie and I went to McDonalds on the way to Pittsboro for Daddy/Daughter Day #137 today (see photo to the right). She wanted to go somewhere that nobody would know her. She said that she was fine with seeing her true friends, but not those from school who don’t know her well.

Katie was not hungry at first, but started eating my fries and wanted more, so I got two more large. Well, by that point her mind caught up with her stomach and she realized she was full. We ended up taking one of the large fries home for Bobby to enjoy.

I wanted to go to a place where we could sit down as I had Bard write a 12-chapter story about a coffee shop based on some of the characters I have been observing at Panera Bread. It did a pretty good job overall, but missed some of the specific characteristics. I’m not sure if this is because I didn’t know how to use “prompts” as well as I could, or if AI story generation is not quite there yet.

Bobby had a makeup soccer game today at the soccer field at Homestead Park. He didn’t get the chance to play goalie today, so no opportunity to try out the scenarios we talked about last night. He did get a chance to score a goal, and did a great job kicking the ball to the other end of the field. All in all, he is enjoying himself, and that’s the main part!
