Day #5054 (Tue., Nov. 7, 2023) – Occoneechee Mountain Hike
There will be two teacher work day’s this year. Today, and Friday. Go figure…
My wife took Katie and Maple on a hike at the Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area near Hillsborough this morning.
While they were away checked on Bobby as he was to take a break from his iPad after playing on it a bit. He was already taking a break from it! He was actually doing a bit of painting. He painted a black background on a page as he is going to create a “neon” painting. I made him a grilled cheese for lunch.
This afternoon Bobby and I went to CiCi’s for a haircut. On the way we stopped off at Duck Donuts, which became Daddy/Son Chat Day #5. Bobby picked out the “Cookies & Cream” donut as his special treat (see photo to the left) along with some milk.
While at CiCi’s Bobby swept away the hair while CiCi gave me a haircut, then him. He decided to take more off the back than we thought he would, as he has been saying he wanted to keep his long hair. He kept his long hair on top, and on the front, so perhaps that is what he was talking about.
This evening we had a nice chat with Amanda, our friend in Comox.
