Day #5061 (Tue., Nov. 14, 2023) – Leg Strain

Both kids to school today! Yippee! Nonetheless, we got an email from Glenwood telling us that the social worker and the nurse want to talk to us. My wife and I spent quite a bit of time today trying to figure out how to address it.

With the Camry in the shop I took the van to Aldi for groceries. We know that we definitely need to make a “grocery run” when we run out of milk, which is one of the most frequently consumed foods in our house. Since most of the Aldi grocery bags are in the Camry, I had to unload the food from the shopping cart to the back of the van (see photo to the right), back the van to the front of the house, and take the groceries one by one to pantry.

I took Bobby to martial arts class this evening even though he was complaining of his sore leg. We thought he would be able to “work it out”, but in the end, one of the kicks seemed to strain it too much. The instructor brought him over to me sitting on the sidelines. He was crying from pain, and we just sat and watched the rest of the presentation.

We’re not sure why Bobby’s leg is acting up on him. Perhaps he injured it at skating during the weekend? Perhaps the stretches we have been doing for martial arts has strained it too much? At any rate, we will go easy on it for a while. His Form 2 testing is on Friday.
