Day #5063 (Thu., Nov. 16, 2023) – Glenwood Phone Call

My wife and I had a phone conversation with the social worker and nurse at Glenwood this morning. They are concerned about Bobby’s absences in school because of sickness and wanted to talk about it. When I brought up the subject they said that as long as he is vertical, but yet not 100% well, then we should let him go to school. Having all these communicable bodies of illness running around Glenwood is why we are in the situation we are in. I guess the sum of the conversation is that we agreed to disagree.

I picked up Bobby at the bus stop this afternoon, but he wanted to walk home, and really enjoyed it. I’m not sure, but he might want to do this from now on. I was surprised at how fast he was.

We got an email from Bobby’s teacher that he wrote “Stinky Farts”, inappropriate words in Google docs yesterday, and another in class that he was playing with a Rubik’s Cube in class today. We talked to him about this this evening and perhaps he is just bored in school. We are thinking that homeschooling might be an option to resolve these issues.

Katie mentioned that she is becoming good friends with Lilly, who is actually a competitive ice skater. They are making plans to go to the mall and hang out…kind of reminds me of the good ole 80s.

We all ate at the dining room table this evening. My wife made a couple of pizzas and they were both gone by the end of the meal. Bobby showed me his tattoos (see photo to the right).
