Day #5064 (Fri., Nov. 17, 2023) – Yellow Belt Testing

We asked Bobby about homeschooling and he would prefer to go to school as he would miss his friends. We’re going to abide by that choice for now.

I went to see the doctor this afternoon and she prescribed a Z-Pac to me. We promptly went to Walgreens to pick up the prescription so that I could take two tablets, my first dose. Why? I have to drive to Raleigh this evening so Bobby can test for his yellow belt in martial arts. I have to be feeling well to do this.

Bobby walked home from the bus stop again today.

Katie wants to see a therapist because our house is so messy!

The yellow belt testing was at the martial arts facility in Northern Raleigh. Quite the hike, so we left at about 5:50 pm so that we would have plenty of time to get there by 7:00 pm. It was quite the event, with two separate classes of students trying out for their yellow belts, demonstrations, and awards toward the end. You can see Bobby being congratulated by his instructors in the photo to the right.

On the ride to the testing Katie was reading the Hunger Games “Mockingjay” book to prepare for Tinsley’s birthday party tomorrow, which will be held at the Lumina, where the main event is the new Hunger Games movie, “The Ballad of Songbirds”.
