Day #5071 (Fri., Nov. 24, 2023) – Kung Fu TV Show

The amoxicillin has started to kick in. I’m feeling strong and am sleeping better. About time…

For lunch I made Bobby a tuna sandwich (see photo to the right). It’s rather simple to make, and Bobby is really into them these days. Two slices of white bread, and a filling of a can of tuna, cut up cucumber pieces, mayo, and some dill. Bobby told me that this was exactly like mom makes, so I guess that’s good.

Bobby and I watched the first episode of the classic Kung Fu tv show from 1972. This episode was called “King of the Mountain”. This is a great series for him to watch in addition to his martial arts training as it teaches lessons regarding the philosophy of martial arts in general. For example, one of the lessons of the series was that it’s never good to take a life if it can be avoided. Bobby said that he wants to watch this series with me so we’ll see… I know that it is a bit slower than the video games he watches these days, so we’ll take in an episode here and there till every episode of the three seasons have been watched.

Katie is not feeling well so my wife took her to Urgent Care (the same one I was at on Wednesday). They were going to the mall afterward, but it took so long for the doctor to see them that they will go tomorrow. She got some antibiotics for her ear, so that’s great!
