Day #5090 (Wed., Dec. 13, 2023) – Bobby’s Allergic Reaction
I dropped Bobby off at Glenwood this morning and then went to Panera Bread for a coffee before heading home. On the drive to Glenwood Bobby and I talked about Festivus, the holiday that someone made up as a spoof on Christmas. We discussed the aluminum pole and the “Listing of the Grievances”.
I picked my daughter up at Phillips this afternoon in the van. We went to the Starbucks Drive Thru off MLK and effectively had Daddy/Daughter Chat Day #6. Katie got a Sugar Cookie Latte (which she hated), and I got an Expresso. We talked about issues she was having at school with the kids, the Law of Attraction, and Vision Boards.
Bobby had his CAT Scan this morning (see photo to the right) and actually had an allergic reaction to the “contrast” that is injected into your system during the process. They took it very seriously and the nurses sprang into action, but in the end, all was fine. They said that since he has an allergy to it, he will have to go to the hospital if he needs a CAT Scan in the future.
We received the results of the CAT Scan this evening. It looks like the issue is indeed a sinus blockage. Not sure why the specialist said that this was not the case? At any rate, if the doctor prescribes a different antibiotic to Bobby tomorrow, this should resolve the issue.
