Day #5093 (Sat., Dec. 16, 2023) – Nutcracker On Ice
The whole family went to the Hillsborough Sports Complex this morning to see an ice skating performance of “The Nutcracker”. We were a bit worried that there would be no seating so we arrived at 10 am for the 10:30 am performance. In the end, they had additional seating that they put up at the end of the ice rink. We took four seats at the top level of one of these benches.
The performance initially had their local ice skaters doing various routines, then a break, and then “The Nutcracker” performance. Bobby was restless at times, so I let him play Wordle on my phone between the performances. You can see two of the principals in the photo to the right.
We went to Chick-Fil-A on the drive home. Bobby got a kids meal, fruit punch, and swapped the toy out for a cup of ice cream. He also got a large waffle fries. Katie got a large waffle fries and a cup of ice cream. My wife had the cobb salad with avocado lime dressing. I opted out to have a meal at home instead. Unfortunately Bobby got sick as soon as we arrived home. He felt better a bit afterward.
We are thinking of getting a cat tree for the living room that Batman can go and hide on when Maple is around. Will this help the two get along better? Time will tell.
