Day #5095 (Mon., Dec. 18, 2023) – Cuberspeed Black Magic Rainbow Ball
Both kids are home today. This is effectively the start of their Christmas break!
My wife and Katie went to drop some stuff off at Goodwill this morning. They did some thrifting while they were there. While they were away Bobby and I opened up our Advent Calendar gifts (as they instructed). I got “Peppermint Mocha” coffee and Bobby received a “Rubik’s Cube” sort of device called a Cuberspeed Black Magic Rainbow Ball. It was a hit with Bobby so we are planning on getting one for Ethan as a Christmas present. Maple, as usual, was eager to receive her Advent Calendar doggie treat.
My wife and Katie went to Goodwill with a whole van full of stuff. They did some thrifting, then went to see Arnesa (who is feeling better), and then to the mall for more shopping. While they were away Bobby said that he was hungry. I went down through the usual things he likes, such as a tuna sandwich and grilled cheese, but he opted for a pizza. So, I made a cheese pizza for him, and a Mediterranean pizza for the girls in case they are hungry when they get home (see photo to the right). Bobby had five slices of the cheese pizza!
My wife was vacuuming this evening and the power went out. We blew a fuse! We thought the extra load of the Christmas tree might be the problem, but in the end we figured that it was the air fryer as they are all on the same circuit.
