Day #5097 (Wed., Dec. 20, 2023) – RC Planes
I found some time today to examine the RC planes that I purchased way back around 2005 and 2006 when I had some free time on my hands and I was interested in exploring the hobby of RC flying. Unfortunately, this was almost 20 years ago, and times have changed a lot since then. At any rate, Bobby has expressed an interest in getting them assembled and flying them, so time to figure it out.
I have two RC plane kits. The first plane kit, called “Sky Soldier” (see photo to the right), had every component in the box, but I cannot seem to get the battery to charge. The second plane kid, has every component in the box except for the battery pack. I checked online, and Amazon and even eBay no longer offer these kits as they are so old. Not only that, I cannot find the specific batteries that they use. I could take a chance and get an alternative battery pack, but there is no guarantee that they will work. I decided to put these two planes on hold for right now as I still have a couple of boxes to go through and the batteries might show up there. At any rate, Bobby seemed to be okay with the decision that we would not be able to take them out flying this week.
The cat tree came! My wife and Katie spent the afternoon assembling it, and Batman took to the top shelf of the tree like there was no tomorrow. In fact, he even fell asleep on it! Maple is not too thrilled about the idea of having the cat in the living room…but will she be able to accept it for long? We’ll see…
