Day #5127 (Fri., Jan. 19, 2024) – New Cheerios!

Bobby is home sick again today. He was feeling better later on in the day, so hopefully he will be ready for school on Monday…unless “Heaven Forbid” he gets something else this weekend. Katie went to school…my wife took her.

I had a dental appointment at 11 am this morning, and then went to Aldi afterward. They have some new “Cheerios” out, these ones are “Chocolate-Strawberry” flavored (see photo to the right). I told Bobby that if he likes them to let me know as they are a “Limited Edition” and I will need to stock up on them. Are they for Valentine’s Day? Perhaps…

Batman will often “meow” down in the basement as I am watching the news and my wife is putting Bobby to bed. Maple will be with them helping to “Put Bobby To Bed”, so Batman instinctively knows that I will be alone and can call Katie to come and get him and feed him and perhaps take him to her room to sleep and rest. Well, sometimes this does not totally work out this way. He meowed this evening and Maple heard him. There is nothing faster in this word than Maple scrambling to the gate at the top of our basement stairs to “see” Batman!

Bobby has developed a very “interesting” laugh as of late. I recorded his laugh here while he was watching “Young Sheldon” this evening. I’m reminded of the “hooting” sound he used to make as a small child, but those days are long gone…

We received the following email from Master Chang’s Martial Arts Academy regarding schedule changes:

Dear Master Chang’s Martial Arts Chapel Hill Family,

I hope this message finds you all in great spirits and good health. I am thrilled to share some exciting updates regarding our class schedule, effective from Monday, Feb 12th. We understand the importance of your established routines, and we’ve made efforts to minimize adjustments to reduce any confusion.

Here are the key details of the new schedule:

1. Monday: We have made some time adjustments to classes to enhance your training experience.

2. Tuesday: I’m delighted to announce the return of the “Demo” class, adding an extra element of excitement to our weekly sessions.

3. Wednesday: Introducing the “Bodon & Black” class, a new opportunity for High Belt students to engage in intensive training. This class is designed to take your skills to the next level.

4. Thursday: Join us for the “Self-Defense” class, where students will focus on ground techniques, grabs, and additional self-defense skills. Please note that Nunchuks will no longer be part of this class.

5. Sparring and Board Breaking: To tailor the experience to your individual progress, we’ve divided these sessions by the level of belt colors. Make sure to check your class time for the respective sparring and board breaking classes.

Our priority in making these adjustments was to provide more detailed benefits to our students. We understand that it’s challenging to cater to everyone’s preferences, but we are more than willing to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. Your satisfaction is our top priority.

Additionally, hard copies of our new schedule will be available starting from the following Monday. Feel free to grab a copy for your reference.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any inquiries or need clarification on the new schedule. Your dedication and enthusiasm for martial arts are truly appreciated, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.

Wishing you all continued success on your martial arts journey!

Warm regards,

Ki
