Day #5132 (Wed., Jan. 24, 2024) – Starbucks Cake Pop

On the drive to Glenwood this morning Bobby said that he wanted me to put music on the radio. I asked him if he didn’t feel like he learned anything from our morning conversations and he said no. So, I put some music on, and we spent the whole ride talking about the differences between felonies and misdemeanours prompted by Bobby’s myriad of questions…

I picked up Katie at school today. Apparently the power was out, so the lady at the pickup like used her walkie-talkie to tell Katie that I was there so she could leave early. We went to the library so that she could check out some more “Shatter Me” library books, and then to Starbucks for what effectively became Daddy/Daughter Day #140. She bought a tea and strawberry cake pop (see photo to the right) and reminisced about the fact that her babysitter Cameron took her to Starbucks for the first time (she didn’t buy coffee then, just to look around).

I picked up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this evening. On the drive home we talked about how Charlotte likes him, and how Ethan should go to Spence’s Farm. He doesn’t like the baths that his mother makes him take when he gets home, but once he is in the tub it is hard to get him to come out.
