Day #5139 (Wed., Jan. 31, 2024) – Governor’s Club
Bobby is home again today. He missed school today, and Spence’s Farm after school, so it’s not a good day for him. He’s feeling better this evening, so it looks like school is on the agenda for tomorrow. He felt well enough to sort out our coins into “Canadian” and “American” this afternoon.
I picked up Katie after school today and we went to McDonald’s on the way to Pittsboro for a black coffee (for me) and an ice cream (for her). You can see her enjoying her Mickey D’s ice cream in the photo to the right. This is effectively Daddy/Daughter Day #141.
Next up, I drove Katie to see the Governor’s Club, well, the entrance to it as it’s a gated community. Across the street, behind the Food Lion are cheaper residences that are in some way associated with the Governor’s Club, so we toured around those. We even drove past the hairdressing salon that CiCi works in. I always found it strange that one of the richest areas around had a Food Lion nearby and not a Harris-Teeter. It is a very nice Food Lion I must admit…
Our neighbor Courtney has put her house up for sale. She is moving back to Seattle.
