Day #5141 (Fri., Feb. 2, 2024) – Leave The World Behind
I took Bobby to school this morning, then went to Panera Bread for a coffee.
My wife picked Bobby up at school this afternoon so that they could go to the bank and deposit some of the coins that Bobby sorted the other day. I picked up Katie in the Camry (she was very excited about that), and then we drove around town looking at fancy houses. I showed her the apartment complex where I first lived when I came to the Durham area, and I see now that the “AMC CLASSIC Durham 15”, also known as the Wynnsong Theater, that I used to go to is totally closed down (see photo to the right). I sure saw a lot of good movies in that theater. My how time flies!
This evening my wife took Bobby to sparring class. Bobby received his second stripe this evening, but he still doesn’t have enough for him to do his testing for his next belt rank in a few weeks. He did miss a number of classes due to his being sick, but the new setup that Master Joe has is not as regular with stripes as was the setup under Master Choi.
This evening Katie and I started to watch the Julia Roberts movie “Leave The World Behind”. I watched it last night, and mentioned it to her during our drive this afternoon, so she was eager to watch it as well. I guess with the drive this afternoon, and the movie this evening, you could call this Daddy/Daughter Day #142.
