Day #5143 (Sun., Feb. 4, 2024) – Chinese New Year Books

Bobby started creating the Valentine gifts that he will be giving out next week. The last I heard Katie plans to get together for a little party with Tinsley and Leah this Valentine’s Day.

As I was driving around town today the topic of the most accurate video game for a sport came on the UNC radio channel. Apparently it’s car racing, and the graphics and sound and play is so real it’s easy to transition into a real racing car. Interesting…

Later today Bobby created some paper airplanes and kinetic sand when he was not playing online with Ethan.

I went to Panera Bread for a coffee this afternoon and my wife had me pick up some library books for Bobby when I was out. They are about Chinese New Year (see photo to the left).

Bobby and I area in the process of planning our next Daddy/Son Day. He’s been sick the past few weeks, so we missed out on January, so we’ll have two in February. We’re thinking of creating some match rockets via this YouTube video, and perhaps going to McDonald’s and bringing food back to watch a tv show. He doesn’t care to go to see movies at theaters any more… They are too long for him and he usually asks when it is over. I’m sure glad I don’t own a movie theater these days… YouTube and Tic Toc has really affected the attention spans of children.

Tomorrow is the start of another school well, and “knock on wood”, both kids are well and able to go… 🙂 I miss the days before COVID when sickness was rare and a bit more contained…
