Day #5144 (Mon., Feb. 5, 2024) – Unravel Me!

On the drive to Glenwood this morning Bobby and I got into a discussion about “money” and what it is. He started the conversation by saying “Why do we need money anyway?”. This led to the conversation about how if he wanted milk for his cereal, he would need to go talk to a farmer. The farmer would ask him what he was going to give him in exchange. Well, Bobby could offer to sweep his floors, like he does at CiCi’s. He would then need to do this for cereal, video games, and anything else he wanted. The led to the realization that money is a measure of the value of “good and services” and a way to easily exchange such…

I picked up Bobby at the bus stop this afternoon. This bus was right on time today. On the drive home Bobby told me how they were playing “Mafia” on the school bus. There is a doctor, the victim, and the mafia and people have to decide who is who based on the flow of the game. Nice to see that kids today enjoy such wholesome games… 🙂

Katie told me that Tinsley has gone skiing with her family. I didn’t think you could take kids out of school unless it was illness or doctor related?

I picked up the “Unravel Me” novel (see photo to the left) for Katie at the library this evening. I stopped by Aldi afterward where Katie asked me to pick up some Goldfish & Cheez-Its.
