The photo to the right shows the Goldfish and Cheez-Its that Katie had me pick up at Aldi yesterday.
I drove Bobby to Glenwood this morning. I found an old portable CD player in one of my boxes so he enjoyed putting his earphones on and listening to music during the drive. I was exhausted this morning, so I came home and went to bed. Lest I say that allergy season is back and my allergy shots are not working? Time will tell…
Katie went to the East Chapel Hill High School for a couple of classes today. No theater class, but science and math. Where does time fly… She will be going to high school next year!
We got an email from Bobby’s teacher Ms. Hatley this afternoon (see below):
Thank you for your email. Yes, Bobby is still showing some off task behaviors. For example, today students were in a lesson with Ms. Nelson and Bobby moved around the room, talking with different students during the lesson. I asked him to stop quietly, giving him a friendly reminder. He did not stop, so I had to give him independent play (a consequence we give students where they play quietly at recess for a time period). This is pretty common behavior that we see from Bobby. He is still performing on grade level, so that is not a concern. It is just the off-task behaviors (which largely seem to be about connecting with friends).
We had a chat with Bobby about it when he got home from school and will be taking away his iPad and electronic devices for a while so he understands this is not acceptable moving forward.
My wife took the kids to viola/violin class with Miss Patricia later this afternoon.
