Day #5155 (Fri., Feb. 16, 2024) – Girl’s Night Out!
I drove Bobby to school this morning, but his mother will bring him home this afternoon as she is going to Glenwood for the Chinese New Year Celebration! As you will recall, Chinese New Year was last Saturday, but they had a teacher work day last Friday, so they celebrated it today. They had arts and crafts and my wife took the air fryer to make dumplings, but they were unable to due to certain children having allergies.
It’s daddy’s birthday today! I went around getting “free stuff”, such as a free coffee at Starbucks and a free pastry at Panera Bread. I thought I could get a free burrito at Moe’s, but after ordering they said that I could only get it free if I purchased via the app, so no burrito for me…
Katie went to Dunkin Donuts with Leah and Tinsley after school, then to the public library. My wife then took them to Barnes & Nobles, near the Walmart in Durham, and I picked them up after dropping Bobby home after sparring class.
Speaking of sparring class, Bobby really enjoys Master Charlie (see photo to the right). He is currently in a starring match with him, and looks for his attention. I went up to Master Charlie after class today to tell him this, and he said he was glad that the kids liked him and would keep it in mind moving forward.
On the way home from sparring class tonight Bobby mentioned that he wanted to give me the Minecraft Man that he made out of tin foil a while back for my birthday. He said that the legs were broken, but he would make new ones… 🙂
