Day #5157 (Sun., Feb. 18, 2024) – McDonald’s (Again)
When Bobby woke up from his nap this afternoon he expressed a desire to have another “2 Cheeseburger Meal” from McDonald’s, so I went to the “close” one on Franklin Street and brought him back one with an ice cream cone. As was the case yesterday, Katie requested the same. You can see the “across the street” view from this McDonald’s in the photo to the right. Alas, the Brown’s Paint & Hardware store that you can see in the photo has closed down, yet, another victim of hardware “Big Box” stores.
When I arrived home Bobby expressed a desire to see a movie, so we went to the bedroom to watch one on television. I guess that you could call this Daddy/Son Day #75. As he munched away, we went through the list of “potentials”. We were thinking of a Terminator movie, but they were not free.
We could have watched a “John Wick” movie, and possibly should have, as after about 30 minutes of the “Forrest Gump” movie we eventually settled on, Bobby asked if he could take a break. This is Bobby’s shorthand for “I don’t like the movie”…
Later in the afternoon Bobby watched a bit of the “Harry Potter” movie with his sister.
This evening I went to Aldi for groceries. I bought Bobby some Pringles potato chips as he really likes those. I got Katie some more frozen dinner rolls, as she likes those. The kids are both into grapes these days, so I got some more of those as well.
It’s very awkward to sleep with a cast on, so my wife gave Bobby some pillows to rest it on (see photo to the left).
