It was rather rainy this morning. This is the type of weather we’re going to have to get used to if we are moving to the Comox/Courtenay area.
We drove past the Anderton Road house on the way to our “self-tour” of the Cotton Road house.
We drove past Katie’s potential high school, Vanier, on the way to “Hen & Hog” for breakfast.
Unfortunately, “Hen & Hog” is closed on Monday, so we drove to Black Creek where we ate the “Black Creek Café”. I had the steak and eggs. Katie had the French Toast (see photo to the left). A local “strange” lady came up to us at the table and said that my steak looked good and could she join us. Kidding, but strange…
We drove past the Endall Road house that we were considering last year, and did not see any eagles.
On the way back to Courtenay to pick up our luggage at the airport (they lost one of our bags yesterday), we drove past Huband, which we are hoping will be Bobby’s new school.
This afternoon we drove past the “Grey Gables” house and the “Mayfair” house.
This evening we had FaceTime with Bobby and wished him “Happy Birthday”. Arnesa baked him a birthday cake.
We went to the Mandarin Village Restaurant in downtown Courtenay for dinner this evening. I don’t have the exact wording of my fortune, but it was something like “Be Cautious With Your Choice” (about our new home purchase?).
We stopped off at Thrifty Foods this evening for groceries. I noticed that they didn’t have any Vachon Cakes this year. Katie made note of the “Mr. Lube” store on Ryan Road.
