Day #5183 (Fri., Mar. 15, 2024) – New Home!
We flew home from Comox today. We dropped the Toyota RAV4 off at the parking lot, but unfortunately we forgot to get our GPS. We had bagels at the Comox airport for breakfast.
On the flight from Comox I noticed that the guy next to me had a tiny wooden stand for his iPhone. He told me that his mother got it for him from IKEA.
Unfortunately the flight from Vancouver to Atlanta didn’t have a screen to watch movies, and of course, no free food, so it was a pretty miserable and long flight. Man how I hate flying! I used to love it, but it sure has changed over the years. To make matters worse, we were wondering if the owners of the house on Willis Way accepted our offer!
As soon as we arrived in Atlanta my wife got an email from Amanda that our offer for the house at Willis Way (see photo to the right) had gone through! Celebration time! I had the chicken wings with a milkshake at the Atlanta airport!
As we were boarding our plane to Raleigh I met a guy who knew the pilot of Mr. Goodnight of SAS fame. He mentioned to me that Jeff Bezos bought his huge yacht to make business deals… I guess that will happen when you roam around the seas with the rich and famous.
Once home we stopped off at Arnesa’s house to pick up Bobby and then home! We gave Bobby his die-cast helicopter from Canada to play with on the way home. We asked Bobby if he missed us, and he said that he missed Maple the most! Boys!
