Miss Patricia has COVID-19, so no viola/violin today! My wife did take Katie to ice skating lessons though. While they were away, I thought that I would have Daddy/Son Day #77.
I asked Bobby whether he wanted to go to have a nice breakfast place since he missed out on the Hen & Hog Restaurant in Courtenay, but he opted for McDonalds, so off we went. I thought I would see if Maple would enjoy a drive in the Camry, so we had an additional passenger today (see photo to the left). This was Maple’s FIRST ride in the Camry! She loved the ride, but was quite hot and panting as she was running for the ball before getting into the car. She drank and drank when we got home.
Bobby opted for the, you guessed it, “2 Cheeseburger Combo Meal”, with a side of McNuggets. He also wanted to watch “Leave The World Behind” on the television in the bedroom when we returned. He soon got bored with the movie, so wanted to take a break, and see if we could get those “Match” Rockets to work!
We started off by watching a video on the subject. They said that they had a free template, but it was not to be. We tried various methods, but the explosion kept seeping through the tin foil. When our lighter ran out of fluid I even drove to the Dollar Store to pick up some matches and candles! The sun went down by the time I returned, so we will have to try out another design tomorrow!
Katie is so excited about her new house and bedroom! She wanted to show Bobby some photos, but he was busy. I ended up showing him his room photo via Zillow later in the day. He loved it, but of course, he’s not as “specific” with his wants and needs and likes as Katie!
Remember the Oreo Ice Cream Cake that we picked up for Bobby’s birthday? Well, we got into it today!
