Day #5185 (Sun., Mar. 17, 2024) – St. Patrick’s Day

It’s St. Patrick’s Day today. We didn’t have a really big celebration this year, but while at the Dollar Store this afternoon to look for “Heavy Duty” aluminum foil I looked for some St. Patrick’s Day candy for the kids. None was available, but I did get each kid a bag of Cotton Candy. Bobby told me that the really didn’t care about St. Patrick’s Day much, but he sure loved candy!

As mentioned, while at the Dollar Tree I picked up some “heavier” aluminum foil. Bobby and I tried to make some “Match” rockets out of it this afternoon, and we still have launch problems (see photo to the left). I think that Bobby is getting frustrated with the “discovery” process, so I will perfect it and then have him launch the rockets with me once the technique has been perfected. Russell from next door came over to play but we were soon inside.

I’ve been talking to Katie about potential plans for our new house. Maybe we will have “Friday Pizza Night” with the new pizza oven I will make out in the yard. How about “Travel Night” where we research a country, cook a dish from that country, and watch a YouTube video about the country? We can also have regular evening “Family Dinners” as well. We’ll see…

Bobby is not feeling well again tonight, so we’ll see about school tomorrow. He has been sniffling all day.
