Day #5197 (Fri., Mar. 29, 2024) – Dogwood Branch
It’s “Good Friday” here in the US. It’s also a teacher work day, so no school for the kids.
Bobby has expressed a desire for an Easter egg hunt this year. We thought that we were over this stage. At any rate, he doesn’t want a map this time, just count the number of eggs so that he knows he got them all. Katie has offered to help.
Bobby is really into Duolingo and learning French. The have really increased the participation in this app via “gamification” for the kids and adults.
My wife asked me to cut off a branch of the dogwood tree in our front yard so that she can put a piece in a vase on the mantle (see photo to the right).
Katie helped my wife pack up some of the pictures on the all. Ready to go to Courtenay via the moving company! Nice to get that done!
As of this evening the $40,000 we sent to Canada for the down payment on the house has not been received. My wife’s bank says it has been sent, but apparently someone on the receiving end has to click “accept”. It’s Easter Monday this Monday, so we will have to wait for Tuesday for a resolution.
