Day #5221 (Mon., Apr. 22, 2024) – The Drive To Glenwood
I took Bobby to school at Glenwood this morning. I talked about him enjoying these last few weeks and try to focus on the good things about school, as this will attract more good things. I do enjoy this time with Bobby to share stories and ideas and offer guidance. The school he will be going to in Courtenay is just down the street, so our talks will be much shorter when I drop him off at school. Having said that, I plan on building up a fully stocked workshop in the garage, and hopefully we will be able to build things together and share stories and ideas there.
Katie is home sick today. The candy she picked up for her friend at the Dollar Store yesterday will have to wait.
I went to pick up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this evening. I left at 5:15 pm, and arrived at 5:30 pm, as he requested. He was sitting in a rocking chair talking to Silas when I arrived (see photo to the right) and asked if he could stay longer. It seems when I come later he wishes I came earlier and when I come early he wants me to come later. Oh well, in a few short weeks there will be no more Spence’s Farm, so I’m glad that he could stay later and enjoy it. We will have to find a similar camp like this for Bobby when we arrive in Courtenay.
My wife made Bobby a pizza to enjoy on the ride home but he was not hungry. He told me that he make himself sick of tuna sandwiches. Hopefully he will like them again at some point.
