Day #5279 – (Wed., June 19, 2024) – Hobby Clay!
I checked with Best Buy in regards to the Comox Monopoly game that I ordered a few weeks ago. Apparently they created a UPS label, but never shipped the game. The online chat lady said that she would look into it and email me regarding the status. (NOTE: She did, and gave me my money back! She said it might show up at some point but because there is a delay she will refund my money!)
I had a number of errands to run around town today, so I thought I would take my son with me, making this a Daddy/Son Day. He wants to get back into modeling clay, so I took him to Walmart to pick up the particular type(s) he wants. Before that though, a Cheeseburger Happy Meal at McDonalds for lunch! He got an elephant as his Happy Meal toy this time!
There were a number of modeling clay kits at Walmart, and am feeling particularly rich these days due to NVDA, so I let him pick out what he wanted. You can see the three items in the photo to the right:
- Crayola Modeling Clay Kit.
- Model Magic Clay.
- Crayola Washable Markers.
Next up was Best Buy where I purchased an external hard drive. It was a bit more than I need, but it’s here, and free returns. Amazon products ship within weeks and returning them are a hassle. You just have to realize that we live on Vancouver Island now and will need to shop accordingly.
Canadian Tire was next and I picked up some “Bear Spray”, bear bells, and a mousetrap for a pesky little mouse which has made itself at home in my “Barn Suite”.
Next up? Boba Island for a strawberry boba drink for Bobby and a tara milk boba drink for Katie.
We then stopped off at Home Depot for a garbage can for my wife, and then Thrifty Foods for some butter for Katie, who is really into cooking these days.
This evening I:
- Unboxed our new shredder and shredded the cardboard box it came in.
- Installed my new external 16.3 TB Drive.
