Day #387 (Tue., Jan. 25, 2011) – 9 Hours Of Sleep
Katie slept for 9 hours straight last night so my wife is ecstatic. Hopefully she will be sleeping through the night from now on, which means my wife can sleep through the night.
My wife put legs on the table that Katie has been playing with for the past few weeks. She loves this as she can stand up on it and play.
I’m on my LazyBoy with my foot poking through the playyard. Katie is playing with it and trying to figure out what to do next.
We let Katie go up and examine the dishwasher this evening. She is fascinated with all the gadgets. She even put a small plastic spoon she was playing with into one of the slots. My wife let her push the start button. She saw the lights go on and the machine start up. I bet she’ll always want to do it now.
I took the small rocking horse (see photo to the right) that we bought Katie into the playyard this evening. She wasn’t really interested in rocking on it, so I showed her how her various barnyard animals enjoyed it. I would put the wooden chicken from her puzzle on the back of the horse and sing:
“The chicken ride the horse, the chicken ride the horse”
“High ho the derio the chicken ride the horse”
I would then move on to the zebra, and the giraffe, and “whatever”…
