Day #388 (Wed., Jan. 26, 2011) – 4 Beatles & 1 Chipmunk
My wife told me that Katie likes to stand up at her piano and dance while she plays. We have our own little Jerry Lee Lewis on our hands…
Katie is really learning how to drink out of the sippy cup. She knows now that she needs to tilt it up a bit higher so that the milk will flow into her mouth. Trouble is, once its in her mouth she will sometimes spit it out and it will flow down her face (see photo to the left).
I let Katie crawl a bit around the house this evening and we ended up in bedroom watching a show about the Beatles. She calmed down immediately…almost as though in a trance. John Lennon started to sing Jealous Guy. There is a part in which he whistles and I decided to try and “whistle along”. Katie was fascinated that I was making the same funny sound that was coming out of the television.
My wife is trying to feed Katie and she is reading a huge book. When my wife moves the spoon close to her mouth Katie will bat it away. Almost like an old man reading the newspaper at the dinner table…don’t bother me, I’m reading the news…
I took Katie for a “crawl” up the stairs in our townhouse this evening. She really enjoys this activity. Is she ever fast…
