Day #5296 – (Sat., July 6, 2024) – Bike Accessories!
Today Katie and I had a Daddy/Daughter Day! She wanted some accessories for her bike, and I thought we could make a day out of going to Canadian Tire and picking them up.
I was also planning on putting the front license plate on the van this morning, but after close examination I saw that there was not plate or area to attach it do. Rather than drill holes through the bumper, I felt it better to get expert guidance. When I talked to the guys at Canadian Tire they said that Honda has a little kit that you can purchase and have them install. Perfect solution, I’ll go visit Honda and see what they can do. They are closed during the weekend, so it will be Monday.
Here’s the list of things that Katie, my wife, and Bobby, wanted for their bike:
- A water bottle for Katie and my wife. Bobby already has one.
- A bell for Bobby.
- Bike handlebar grips for my wife.
- An igloo ice chest “basket” for the back of Katie’s bike.
You can see all these supplies in the photo to the right. As you can tell, Katie also picked up a cat toy for Batman.
Next up was Starbucks for a coffee. We then went to the liquor store where I bought some “Red Truck” lager. Thrifty Foods for supplies was next on the agenda.
With all our shopping done I took Katie for a drive to the Comox wharf. Before she came here she was worrying that there would only be cold, snow, and rain here in Canada. Well, it was REALLY hot today. Down by the wharf when you mingled this heat with the beautiful fresh air off the ocean, HEAVEN! (see photo to the left).
