Day #5306 – (Tue., July 16, 2024) – Huband School Zip Line!
My wife took the kids to viola/violin class this afternoon. Their teacher is moving to Royston, which is near Walmart. This is a better location for us as we no longer have to travel into downtown Courtenay.
This afternoon I took a number of photos of the garage and front gate. I’m going to submit a request for bids to Home Depot to find a contractor that will insulate the garage, and install an automatic opener on our front gate. Apparently they don’t take a cut and vet all the companies they use, so it’s quite a good service if it works out.
This evening I went to Home Depot to return the fan rake that I bought the other day (see photo to the right). It works great, but the pole is loose so it keeps falling out as I use it. They replaced it for me no problem.
On the way home I stopped off at Huband Elementary to pick up the wife and kids. The school’s front entrance was fenced off and locked, so I had to drive to the back of the school. Their playground has a great zip line, which Bobby loves (see photo to the left). They also have some great swings, so Katie likes it here as well.
I weed wacked some of the area near the house today, but I’m concerned that I’m going to “wipe out” some of the plants that my wife wants to keep. I’m going to get her to weed wack this area moving forward so that she can keep what she wants and get rid of the rest.
