Day #5307 – (Wed., July 17, 2024) – Bike Ride!
I miss my Panera Bread! The “drop in” atmosphere and the cheap prices. I learned that Smitty’s Restaurant in downtown Comox has unlimited coffee, so I had to drop in today and check it out. They do have unlimited coffee, but you need to buy a jug full for $5… A far cry from the $19, all you can drink for a month, offer that Panera Bread has, but better than any other deal in the Courtenay or Comox area, at least as far as I can see…
Check out this Ford F350 truck that I spotted in Comox the other day. As it turns out, it is close to $100,000 brand new! I saw on Zillow that I can get 100 acres of land in PEI for under $100,000… Which is the better use of money?
It’s Bobby’s turn to get a package from Amazon today. He received a lamp and a little basketball set that fits over the door in his bedroom. Unfortunately the screws that came with it are too short, so this is yet one more reason that I will have to make yet another trip to Home Depot.
The kids went out for a bike ride this evening (see photo to the right). The igloo chest is secure at the back of Katie’s bike, but she did admit that she didn’t try to take it off just yet.
I have a number of pictures of the garage and front gate, but I haven’t filled out the Home Depot form to get the bidding process started. Tomorrow, hopefully… It will be nice to get this done… On a positive not, we’ve not had a deer in our yard since we fixed the hole in the fence at the rear of our property. Perhaps they are terrified of Maple, who tried to bite one of them the last time they made an appearance.
