Biden has withdrawn from the US Presidential Race. Will Harris succeed him? That’s the question now…
I took Bobby out for a Daddy/Son Chat Day today! Pretty much a continuation of yesterday, “More Sand”. As we were leaving the driveway we saw Bowen and her mother out riding on their bikes. They live across the street in what we used to call “Grey Gables” before they painted it in a “Tudor Style”. I texted my wife letting her know in case she wanted to go out for a ride with Katie.
Bobby was hungry, so we started off by going to McDonalds. He told me that his favorite fast food restaurant is McDonalds, but he likes A&W burgers the best. He picked up a Happy Meal with an Oreo Cookie McFlurry. I waited till we went to Wendy’s where I bought a couple of plain baked potatoes with a glass of water.
Next up was Dollarama where Bobby picked up a dinosaur scoop for the sand box (see photo to the left).
After Dollarama I took Bobby to Home Depot where we picked up four more bags of sand. I also picked up some tarp and “rebarb” to create a makeshift cover for the sandbox. Bobby has been complaining that the sand is too hot when he tries to get in it, so this will keep the heat off. It will also keep the rain out and any stray cats like Barney stopping by to do their “business”. Unfortunately the “rebarb” will not fit through the holes in the tarp, so I will have to get some elastics the next time I’m out.
Bobby has been complaining about not feeling well all day. He didn’t practice the violin yesterday or today, and we were planning to go to Walmart and look for some more sand toys, but cut the visit short at his request. He might be coming down with something. Katie said later today that she felt like she was coming down with something as well.
Katie has been experimenting with the software program “Blender” as of late (see photo to the right). Here’s the blurb: “Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software tool set that runs on Windows, MacOS, BSD, Haiku, and Linux. It is used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D-printed models, motion graphics, interactive 3D applications, virtual reality, and, formerly, video games.”
This evening I gave the chickens some macaroni and they didn’t take to it well. They seem to like rice, and they really like tortilla chips, but not macaroni… Maybe if I softened it up? Hard to figure what goes through the mind of a chicken… 🙂
