My wife took Bobby to his violin lesson this afternoon. Katie was not feeling well so she stayed home. Lessons are usually on Tuesday, so this was an “exception”. At the end of the lesson today the teacher got on the floor with Bobby and played a musical card game. She’s playful, and this is one of the reasons the kids love her so much.
This afternoon I went to get some chicken feed at SharKare, which is just down the road. I told the cashier, Leland, what type of chickens we had and he suggested the feed shown in the photo to the right. It has 18% protein. Other feeds have more protein but he suggested this one as it’s late in the season? Not sure what that means…

I then went to Canadian Tire to return the 100′ garden hose we bought a while back. Well, replace it. It seems to have a leak inside, so hopefully this replacement will work better.
Next up was Bulk Barn where I wanted to pick up some flax seeds and other goodies that would be suitable treats for chickens. Katie texted me that she wanted some sweet treats, so I picked some of those up as well (see photo to the left).
At Walmart, the next stop, I was looking for sand box toys for Bobby, but they didn’t seem to have any great selection or deals. I see that Amazon has a great selection of sand box toys at highly discounted prices online, so I’ll get Bobby to pick out what he wants and then order it. My wife wanted some salad mix, so I picked up three oft these at Walmart as well. I also picked up some elastic bands to secure the tarp to the top of the sand box. The “rebarb” posts are too big to go in through the tarp holes, so these elastics will work great.
