Day #391 (Sat., Jan. 29, 2011) – Stacking Blocks – YES!
I was sitting on my LazyBoy in the living room this morning and my wife brought Katie to me when she woke up. She was still tired, and rested on my lap watching the television with me for quite a while. Then all of a sudden, she woke up and started to clap and smile.
After a bit Katie wanted to go to her playyard. She leaned over and pointed at it.
Later on in the morning Katie was out crawling around the living room. She crawled over to me, stood up, and I picked her up and put her on my lap. We watched a Chinese Cooking television show together.
I took Kate for a walk this afternoon. When we got back we Skyped my mother. Katie managed to put one of the wooden puzzle blocks into the proper slot while we were talking to her.
I fixed the baby laundry hamper this afternoon. It needed to have one of the legs glued back into place (see photo to the left).
Katie tried stacking some blocks and things this evening. She is usually content to destroy whatever daddy has built.
We watched the Lawrence Welk Show this evening (one of Katie’s weekly traditions it seems). There was a clip of the Lennon Sisters on it (here’s the actual clip), and Katie was fascinated.
