The television stand for the “Barn Suite” was supposed to come today, but we received a note from Amazon that it will be delayed for a week. Unexpected delays that are relayed at the last minute! Wrong shipments! Canadian Amazon is not anything like American Amazon… I can see now why the people here don’t depend on it, you can’t!
Katie had her orthodontics appointment this morning. On the way home my wife stopped off at Costco. Amongst the “haul”, she bought Bobby a target game (see photo to the right). Bobby and I went through various renditions of games this afternoon. I told Bobby that if he wanted to get really good at it, take one step back from the target and do 10 throws that hit the bullseye. With that done, take a step back and do it again. If you don’t hit all 10 bullseyes stay at the same spot till you do. If you do this you will become an expert! I also mentioned to him that the key is not so much the ability to throw and hit the target, but the confidence in your mind that you can do it.
We invited Brodie, our neighbor of Bobby’s age to come over and try it out with him, but no reply. They are back from their trip to Oregon now, so it’s only a matter of time till the boys get together.
Bobby put up a shelf in his bedroom later today (see photo to the left). He really liked the drilling, and putting the screws in. I think he will really like it when we get our garage made into a workshop.
I showed Katie how to wiggle and jiggle the cat toy like a lure on the end of a fishing pole to draw Batman’s interest (see photo to the right). He’s really “chill” in Katie’s room these days. Eating, sleeping, relaxing… I only wish that Robin could be here to enjoy this “cushy life” as well.
I relayed to Katie the idea for a song that I came up with. She said that I should put it on “Garage Band”, so that’s a new item on my “To Do List”… Figuring out this little app on my iPhone. From there I plan to learn and play all the instruments, once I get time… 🙂
