Day #5319 – (Mon., July 29, 2024) – Happy Meal Puzzle
The chickens are a strange lot! They have started to lay eggs in the pasture area of their coop and on the floor of the shed instead of their designated nesting area (see photo to the right). I’m not sure why, but I gave them some fresh bedding material in the nesting area. Maybe that will help?
My wife took the kids to viola/violin lessons this afternoon.
This evening I took Bobby out for a Daddy/Son Chat Day. We ended up at McDonalds (surprise! surprise!). He had their Cheeseburger Happy Meal with a chocolate milk and an Oreo McFleury as well. The kid’s toy was a puzzle, so he was not to excited about that.
After McDonalds I stopped off at Thrifty Foods to pick up some more potatoes. I also picked up a selection of fruit teas, and various condiments such as hot sauce, mustard, and “date sweetened” ketchup. Bobby stayed in the van but I guess that I was gone so long that he came into the store looking for me.
I showed Bobby this YouTube short about creating a model house out of cement, rocks, and popsicle sticks. I thought he might want to do it together, but he was not too interested. Hopefully once we get the shop up and running something will spark his interest.
Bobby told me that he was looking forward to school starting so that he could make some friends. He said that he wasn’t looking forward to learning French though.
