Day #5327 – (Tue., Aug. 6, 2024) – Wearable Blanket

I called up the references that Anthony gave me and they rave about him and his workmanship. He will be insulating and drywalling our garage, and the plan is to start next Tuesday. So we have less than a week to get all the “stuff” out of the garage now!

Batman pretty well lives in Katie’s room now. We don’t let him outside for fear that an eagle will pick him up and fly off with him. They almost got one of our chickens a few days before we took ownership of our new house. At any rate, this doesn’t mean that Batman can dream of the “good ole’ days” when he could roam free (see photo to the left).

My wife took the kids to their viola/violin practice this afternoon. Next week is orchestra camp, so the kids are excited about that. Bobby will also be starting his Tae Kwon Do classes. We’re not sure if he will be able to use the gi and combat gear from Chapel Hill yet, but probably not…

Bobby was really excited to receive his gift from Amazon today, a “wearable blanket”. You can see him modeling his new attire in the photo to the right.

Katie is very excited to be going back to school. Apparently for the first day at Vanier only kids who have never been to this school before will be there, so this will provide a good opportunity for Katie to make some new friends in the same situation as herself.
