Day #5328 – (Wed., Aug. 7, 2024) – HUGE Tarp!

Take a look at the front of our property now that the “weed wacking” has been done (see photo to the left). Sure looks nice, don’t you think? Much better than that look of being overrun by weeds. That Ryobi weed wacker does a great job. The only difficulty is me getting my footing on the steep embankments. I made sure to leave the “Forget Me Nots” alone!

My wife took two van loads full of cardboard that we had housed up in the garage. The plan was to shred it, but as things got busy, shredding cardboard and using it in our compost pile went by the wayside. With all that cardboard gone the garage is already looking a lot “emptier”.

I went to Home Depot this afternoon to pick up some Miracle Grow potting soil for my wife and a HUGE tarp, 20′ x 30′, to cover the belongings we will be taking out of the garage in case it rains. I could have gone for a smaller tarp, but I figured that it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’m sure that we will find other things to do with it once the garage renovations are done.

Keep in mind, not only with all the garage “stuff” be subjected to the elements while the garage is getting insulated and drywalled, I will be out there for additional time as I paint the interior after the contractors have left.

Bobby tried his hand at some creative photography today (see photo to the right). I think he learned this “Depth of Field” technique from me.

Katie didn’t have much time to do her art this evening as she was cleaning up the kitchen.

The clay that I ordered from Amazon came today. A lot “puffier” than I was expecting, but hopefully it will do the trick to create some Roblox characters for Bobby.
