Anthony told us that an inspector might call us before coming over to examine the newly installed electrical circuitry in the garage. We didn’t get a call, so since it’s been 24 hours he might be okay with the photographs that Anthony sent him. This means that the insulation of the garage might begin tomorrow morning.

My wife took the kids to a dinosaur museum today (see photo to the left) called the “Courtenay and District Museum and Paleontology Centre”. Quite a mouthful! The place was practically empty, so the tour guide gave what was pretty close to a personal guided tour today. He even let the kids put their heads in the mouths of a dinosaur fossil.
They returned home for lunch, but soon my wife and Katie were out again looking for a ceiling light. They liked the one they saw at Canadian Tire, but will need to go back and get it at some point. Anthony mentioned that once they buy it he will install it.

As a side note, the garden hose that we bought at Canadian Tire a while back, and then replaced with the same version, has broken again. This time when we return it we are going to get a different and hopefully more reliable hose.
I found a grocery store in Courtenay called “Good’s Groceries”. I went to see them this evening and they have the tortillas without oil, similar to the ones I used to buy at Aldi. There are a lot of Mexican and Filipino foods here, but not much in the way of Lithuanian or Russian foods. I suggested that my wife check it out some time in case I’m wrong and missed something.

This evening I went for a drive to see the listing at 2020 Spike Road just north of where we live. Not that we are going to buy it, but it was an interesting listing I used to look at from time-to-time when I was in Chapel Hill. Well, there were a lot of winding country roads to get there, but when I did get there… Nothing! Nadda! Crickets! You would think that for almost $4 million you would at least have a sign saying you were trying to sell the property. I’m not sure what to think. The listing says that it could be used for a summer camp, but from what I can tell you would even need to create a road to the property. I might give the agent a call at some point to figure out what’s up…
Bobby didn’t have any cucumbers for his sandwich tonight so my wife gave him some shears and told him to get one out in the garden! It’s great to have fresh produce just a few feet away from your house! This morning my wife took the kids to pick blackberries at the bush near our chicken coop!
